Experience
I have a passion for adventure, and also for mathematics. While many math tutors may list a number of math classes as their valid experience enabling them to tutor math, I have a more diverse set of skills and abilities that I use in my tutoring. I have studied aviation maintenance, engineering, and commercial diving. I have experience flying personal aircraft, sailing various sailboats, and many other adventurous activities like hunting, precision shooting, hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing. I also enjoy a good book, whether I'm the one reading it or writing it. In my philosophy, people who have learned a great deal in life have a basic obligation to pass it forward. I am a fun tutor, and believe that my various experiences can play a part in my tutoring, helping various math subjects to come alive for my students. Every activity I mentioned so far has to do with math, and by sharing these exciting applications, I help students develop an enthusiasm for the subject. I tutor any kind of math, including AP classes, but also some language arts, and I can help students prepare for standardized tests like the SAT, among others.
